Gulls on the island of Crete, Greece. Several species winter, seen during migration and two species breed. The ID problem in some individuals made me to create this blog but I will also put pictures of "known" ones and more informations about their behaviour, distribution and general status. here there is a remark for the same bird, I forgot that I had already post it, that opinion is 1st winter Herring...
1st-wint YLG for sure. HG never replaces that amount of wing coverts by November, most wing coverts are still unmoulted in April! HG & YLG both look way more developed than this in their 2nd winter. hope this helps?!
